So it seems that tonight's match-up between #5 Pittsburgh Steelers and #32 Carolina Panthers is a real stinker and there's probably some better NBA match-up to keep you entertained.  But, the NFL is the NFL and America loves it, so I assume you'll be watching it.

Before signing off though, let's take a look at the new column "Up/Down."  This column shows how many sports a team moved up or down compared to last week.  The biggest move by any team, either way, was three spots and this was accomplished by four teams.  Let's break down why each team moved so much.

#20 Houston Texans (-3): Getting blown out 31-17 by the #17 Tennessee Titans in Week 15 led to this precipitous drop.  This matchup had a big effect on the rankings as, on the flip side, the Titans moved up two spots because of the victory.

#13 Indianapolis Colts (+3): A home victory over division rival the #14 Jacksonville Jaguars really helped the Colts here.  I honestly think this ranking is more the result of the general public having great faith in Peyton Manning because, let's face it, a home victory over the over-rated Jacksonville Jaguars shouldn't have this much effect on their ranking.

#10 New York Giants (-3) & #3 Philadelphia Eagles (+3): I guess the fact that the Giants absolutely murdered the Eagles for 3 plus quarters doesn't matter because of the devestation that occurred at the end of the game.  Both teams were greatly effected in the rankings because of this, and I do not agree with it.  I'd think the Giants moving down one spot, and the Eagles moving up one would be more appropriate; but I don't make the rankings, I just report them.

Let me know your thoughts.

Look forward to a review of this weekends match-ups later!
